noisenights are our vision for the future of classical music: informal crowdfunded events featuring international soloists in cabaret bars, converted warehouses, and nightclubs.

Most noisenights features two short classical sets, one early evening, one late. All tickets to the late set usually include live music for the rest of the night, including jazz, latin, afrobeat, swing and funk acts.
This noisenight currently only has one set - but we're ready to add another, dependent on demand.
Live music needs your backing more than ever. Becoming a noisenight backer means getting tickets to hear the world's best performers up close while becoming part of a community working for a positive future for live music.
Please note that due to the venue's license, this noisenight is strictly 18+.
the venue:
A live music space has been operating on the corner of Hoxton Square for over a hundred years, and new bar Colours has pledged to keep the grassroots venue going for many more.
Their programme features collaborations with fellow East London creative powerhouses Village Underground and EartH.
The famous Colours club nights include residencies with LGBTQ+ Bollywood outfit HUNGAMA; house & techno party Naturalia, femme-led immersive theatre collective Shotgun Carousel, and more.
the music:
Founder Ellie Consta was inspired to form Her Ensemble after realising that in 2019/20 just 3.6% of the classical music pieces performed worldwide were written by women. This concert will showcase their favourite repertoire: 45 minutes of extraordinary music written for strings, including collaborations with legendary pole dancer Cami Árboles and more.

her ensemble:
Her Ensemble were founded to make a positive impact on the gender gap in the classical music industry. They shine a light on female composers from the past, alongside working with current artists who share their ethos. Deriving from the European Union Youth Orchestra, the free-form group brings together some of the UK's most in-demand musicians.

Since forming in November 2020, the ensemble have featured on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio London, Scala Radio, as well as by The Strad and Help Musicians UK. Her Ensemble have also collaborated with artists such as Pixie Lott, Caitlyn Scarlett and LITANY, released their debut single with award-winning film composer Alexandra Hamilton-Ayres, and recorded and produced music for feature films including AVAWAVES, FINITE documentary and Melt The Fly for BBC Scotland.
Her Ensemble believe that all music is for everyone to enjoy, however currently the demographic for classical music skews towards an older white audience, with the majority of concert programmes featuring solely former white male composers. The group hopes to change this by reimagining the context for 'classical' music and doing away with rigid rules and traditions.
Performances have a distinctly relaxed atmosphere with musicians interacting with the audience, adding context and history to each work performed and strict dress codes have been replaced with expectation-defying suits (usually...sometimes we like changing it up too).
Rewards: unallocated standing tickets to the noisenight11 late set, at 8pm on Saturday 5 November 2022. First-come-first served for the best views.
