What's on this week: classical music in London
We’re just waking up after yesterday’s noisenights summer party at The Speakeasy in Dalston.
Live music from the incredible Laura van der Heijden followed by the Brazilian samba sounds of Fabricio Mattos & friends kicked off our summer with the perfect vibe.
Whilst our noisenights series is taking a short break this summer (we’re preparing for our biggest announcement yet), there are heaps of summery classical concerts taking place over the next few months.
Today and tomorrow may just be a bit too warm for live music, even for us, so here are our recommendations for this week’s best gigs in London - from Wednesday onwards…
Wednesday 20 July, 8pm
Master percussionist Adriano Adewale brings the classic Afro-Brazilian music traditions of his native Brazil to the 606 Club, Chelsea
Thursday 21 July, 9.30pm
Sergio Bucheli returns to the Islington Festival of Music and Art with another night of early music, this time with Hugo Hymas at Little Angel Theatre
Friday 22 July, 1pm
Anna Lowenstein mixes traditional Klezmer melodies and stylistic language with free improvisation in a free lunchtime concert
Can't attend any of these events but still want to support live music?
Your donation means that we can continue to push the boundaries of live classical music. It means that we can keep our events guide independently curated and expand our mindmusic programme which promotes mental health and wellbeing in our local communities.
